Startup Funding Club’s portfolio company Oteas has raised £1.4 million from overseas investors.

Startup Funding Club (SFC) is pleased to announce that its portfolio company Oteas Limited has received funding from overseas investors. The company, which became part of the SFC portfolio in 2015 when it received investment from SFC’s award-winning network of investors and the SFC Funds, has now raised £1.4 million from business angels.

Oteas is a tea company that responsibly sources, blends and sells a wide range of high quality teas from around the world. Their blends contain only the highest quality whole leaf teas, herbs, flowers, spices and other natural ingredients. The Oteas range is available either packed in attractive, biodegradable corn-based pyramid tea bags or as loose tea.

Paresh Thakkar, Founder and CEO of Oteas said: “We are very pleased to welcome our new investors on board. This funding will allow us to continue our growth internationally.”
