Startup Funding Club showcases four promising startups at its October SFC Pitching & Networking event at NEX Exchange

Last Monday 16th, Startup Funding Clubheld its October SFC Pitching & Networking. Withers Worldwide and SFC Bennett Brooks backed the event, which took place at NEX Exchange.

Following a quick introduction to Startup Funding Club and the SFC Angel Fund, Stephen Page, CEO of SFC, introduced the evening’s presenters. The guests at NEX Exchange had the chance to meet four of the most promising early-stage companies that SFC has met in the last few months:

• Sonicjobs – the first Virtual Recruiter within the blue-collar economy. Their chatbot understands the needs of the vacancy and screens candidates to find the right fit.
• Tengri – a sustainable luxury lifestyle brand and material innovation company specialising in Khangai Noble Yarns® & Fibres®.
• Tapoly – providers of on-demand insurance for freelancers and anyone who is part of the sharing or gig economy.
• Paysme – enablers of mobile payments and commerce with dedicated customer service for micro SMEs.

After each of the presentations, the audience had the chance to put the companies against the ropes in Q&A sessions that brought up many interesting enquiries. The evening closed with a networking session in which investors and presenters were able to get into further details about the companies.
